Associate Veterinarian Job Description

Are you an energetic, outgoing veterinarian who enjoys small animal medicine that includes a large caseload of exotics?

Do you value a collaborative environment that thrives on learning and having fun? Animal Medical Center of Corona in beautiful Corona, CA is a 3 doctor practice looking for someone like you to join our rock star team! You have over a years’ experience treating exotics, birds, and reptiles on top of our awesome canine and feline friends (however, new grads will be considered). You love to learn and thrive on continuing education opportunities that will be paid for when you come on board. You geek out on having the necessary toolbox to diagnose and treat patients and we can provide you with a variety of tools to include: in-house laboratory, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, companion laser for therapy, advanced ultrasound, and Vimago HDVI-CT! You are not afraid of surgery in that you want to learn soft tissue and orthopedics and aren’t afraid of advanced dental care. We offer a great benefits package that includes a competitive salary + production, paid vacation, health + dental insurance, license fees (including DEA), paid CE, and paid memberships to include VIN, VETgirl, AVMA, CVMA, and specialty groups. M-F 9-6, Sat 9-2 (rotating so you will have some entire weekends off!) and closed Sunday, no evening or emergency hours. Looking to relocate? We are located in the greater Los Angeles area so if you love the beach, warm sunny weather, mountains, entertainment, Disneyland, sports, music, and palm trees, then we might be the place for you!

We would prefer someone with a year or more experience but will entertain a new grad that has specific training and experience with exotics, avian, reptile and small mammal. It is a full time position but will entertain a part time associate.   You must have (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid California veterinary license. Salary is a guaranteed base pay commensurate with experience or 22% of your gross, whichever is greater.

$90,000.00 – $120,000.00 (base pay)

We use the ProSal method of salary/production pay. This is a very reasonable guaranteed base against production. This way, especially when new, you are not penalized during your learning curve OR if the practice has slow times. There are not “goals”, when your production surpasses your base, you get to keep the difference, if not, you still get your base, no matter what. Our lay and technical team members also bonused on production so that the entire team is encouraged to work together and thrive. We do have DVMs making $150K+ working 40 hrs/week.
