To Our Valued Clients:
AMC of Corona has made the difficult decision to close the hospital on Saturdays, effective June 5, 2021. This is a temporary change to our schedule and we will notify you all again when we resume our Saturday hours.
While we understand this will be inconvenient for many of our clients, it has become necessary for us to make the mental and physical well-being of our staff and doctors a priority. In doing so, we will better be able to care for your pets moving forward.
The primary reason we have made this decision is due to the workload, high stress, and burnout of our team from the COVID-19 pandemic. The boom in pet adoptions and demand for services has increased exponentially, and with it there has unfortunately been a decrease in civility.
The majority of our clients are patient and polite about the changes and inconveniences that are a result of the pandemic. However, increasing numbers of clients have vented their frustrations on our staff and subjected them to rude, bullying, and verbally abusive behavior. We are not alone in this experience: veterinary hospitals around the nation are reporting the same problems.
To alleviate stress for our staff and doctors, we are taking this step to allow our valuable team extra time to decompress. This way, they can return fresh each week and maintain the same high level of care you’ve come to expect from us.
Should your pet require urgent or emergency care on the weekends, please refer to our Emergency Services page for a list of 24-hour veterinary ER hospitals in the area.
Thank you for your understanding and for entrusting us with the health of your beloved animal companions. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us during business hours at 951-547-1795.
