Sam has a diverse background that includes bartending, anthropology studies, and dog training. She recently earned her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and will be taking her board exams to become a Registered Veterinary Technician soon. Loving animals came naturally to Sam for as long as she can remember, and as a small child she recalls being confused when other kids weren’t as delighted to be around animals as she was. She currently has Kahlua, a mixed breed dog who while dainty and pretty on the outside, has the fierce spirit of a fighter on the inside. More often than not, you’ll find Sam busy—in her spare time she plays acoustic guitar, paints, and likes reading up on neuroscience and Stoic philosophy. She also enjoys running, weightlifting, and reworking thrifted clothes into new creations. If you’re wondering when she finds time to sleep, the answer is that she doesn’t—at least not for more than five or six hours at a time.
